Ace of Clubs

So we played the Ace of Clubs in Manhattan on Thursday.  And first off let me start by thanking Nikki for allowing us to play there as well as thanking all the people that came out to the show.  I guess even though Brian is somewhat of genetic defect, the friends he has are loyal…. And they brought friends which added more people to our fan list.

The ride down wasn’t all that it was supposed to be.  We left early thinking it was a Thursday night so we wanted to beat rush hour.  Well we did. Kinda. It turned out to be a hike and half to get to the show.  We were making excellent time and just when you think its going to be a smooth night.  NOPE! Accident on the highway and we were stuck in traffic for over an hour.  GOOD TIMES!!!!   -not-

Our start time was 8:45.  And we were the third band to go on.  Which in way was a good thing.  It allowed the friends of the band to come out and see us and get home before bedtime.  After all, it was a school night.

We had a minor technical problem.  My amp cut out for a brief moment (bad patch chord), and Scratch had an argument with his pedals.  But as usual, we fix it and move on.  Those instances did cost us a song or two, but we kicked some major hiney.  So much so that we’ve already been invited back in January.  So this should give everyone plenty of time to find a sitter and come check out the city night life with your favorite local upstate hard rock n roll band.  *cough* I’m talking about Freakswitch people.  So we will so all of you down there again.

Keep your ears open.  We’re thinking of chartering a bus and seeing if the dutchess county peeps want to hitch a ride.

Next up, Richie Scarlet on black friday at the chance.  This also happens to be our CD release party.  So get in touch with us for tickets and come party like its…… umm ……. FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING!

until next time…
