Last night Freakswitch were the guests of Downfire at a local watering hole in Newburgh. The place use to be called Lockwoods but is now known as Shooters. From what I remember since the last time we played there, they had a cool stage and killer lights. Well times are a changing. No more stage, and very few lights. But they did add a stripper pole which was promising. Unfortunately not one point throughout the night did anyone feel the need put it to use.
Shooters wasn’t thrilled about bring live music into the bar. Hopefully last night will have changes his mind. The place had quite a few people inside. All loving the fact that bands were playing.

It was time for us to go on and it was tough for me because my fingers haven’t thawed yet. Must’ve sounded good though cause after the first song we received a great response. By the end of our set, these people were ready for more loud live music. And Downfire wasn’t going to let them down.
Downfire did a long set that consisted of songs from all three of their cd’s as well as throwing in a medley of some old school songs (Sabbath, Priest, Metallica, etc.) GOOD STUFF.
Not sure if we will be asked to go back to the place, but we sure did have a good time while we were there.
Next show is in NYC on 01.08.11 at the Ace of Clubs. So I most likely won’t be blogging before then.
If I don’t talk to you before then, have a great Freakswitch holiday and a happy friggin Freakswitch new year.
FYI! Cd’s available and make great stocking stuffers.
Until next time…..
