Saying good-bye to 2009

Well the year is coming to a close.  Is it just me or is everyone excited to see what the New Years Eve glasses are going to look like?  After all, there is no longer the double zero’s for the eyes.

2009 has been a good year.  A recession hit, 10% of the country is unemployed, gas prices finally dropped, cash for clunkers were a bust, and Freakswitch was formed.

We’ve played a few shows, met some great people, went into the studio, and don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

Freakswitch will be spending this holiday season with family, friends, and in the studio.

UPDATE: The debut CD is coming along nicely.  We’ve decided to take a release date off of the project.  We want to put our best foot forward and make sure it’s what we want instead of putting out work just for the sake of putting it out.

Scratch has to take a few weeks off from playing due to tendonitis in his right arm.  This is great news to the band because we were preparing for a 6 month hiatus if he needed surgery.  Thankfully he doesn’t.  So the band will begin 2010 on chill mode for a couple of weeks while Scratch recooperates.

UPCOMING DATES:  The only show the band has booked as of now is March 5 at the Chance in Poughkeepsie opening for Sponge.  We will have tickets soon.  So hit us up if you want to go. (1 for $12 or 2 for $20)

To everyone, have a safe and HAPPY HOLIDAY season.  We look forward to making 2010 better then 2009.

Until next time
MK
