10 minutes with the band



Spending some QT with the members of FREAKSWITCH.

Freakswitch has been going full steam ahead since they began playing out just a few short months ago.  Playing out often has made it difficult for them to get back into the studio and finish their debut cd. 

Freakswitch has a show in September and one in October.  Not to say that those are the only shows for the next couple of months, but they will be taking some time for themselves so they can finish what they started.

By no means does this mean that this is a beginning of a long absence as you will read.  For all they know, things can go extrememly smooth and you won’t even know they took some time off.

 When asked why they were taking this time shortly after they started, Mike Skaretka replied:

“Its better to finish what we started now this way come the new year, we can have a good time on stage without worrying about any unfinished business.” 

 To which Brian chimed in with “If you think we’re taking a long time off you’re crazy.  We are having entirely too much fun out on stage to just sit on our ass and let time go by.  But what Mike forgot to tell you is that we are producing our own reality show, right Polito?”

“Rock on” Mike acknowledges.

With three Mike’s in the band you would think it gets confuzing when trying to get ones attention.  Mike Kenny throws his hat in the ring…..

“I’m sorry, were you talking to THIS Mike? Maybe you should ask Brian, he’s the one not named Mike.”

Brian: “Easy…. I just don’t talk to any of them. They aren’t worth my time”

Brian continues to talk about their reality show “The FREAK Show”. “Its going to be great.  You see all these shows where they are going through whatever pretending the camera isn’t there.  Well in ours, WE KNOW the camera is there and we are going to try involve the camera as much as possible this way it is like the band is talking to you – the poor bastard that can’t change the channel.”

In closing Mike Skaretka adds: “You gotta leave, you’re eating into our rehearsal time.  Just be on the look out for a new cd at minimum come the end of the year.”

“If not sooner” Mike Polito shouts.

So there you have it.  Freakswitch is taking some time off to finish what they started and plan on hitting the streets even harder come 2010.
