The cherry has been popped. Dave’s Freakswitch cherry that is. He made his debut at the Rocker Room in New Rochelle this past Friday night. He did fan-friggin-tastic. We’ll get back to that in a minute.
Shades of Burn, or as I call them, Shades of Burn kicked off the night. Female fronted and flat out pretty effin good. This band has really cool melodic riffs with a good solid drive behind it, top it off with a chick that can actually sing and this band is worth seeing more then once. And I think I will because I found out that they are based out of the Hopewell Junction area.
As we took the stage, Dave was so pumped that he was about to come out of his shoes. He busted his ass to learn our material in such a short time so that we could get back out to play again. So for that, THANK YOU DAVE! And as I said before, he was great. Outside of that, it was business as usual…. Scratch took his shirt off, Brian was is douchey self and I was laughing the whole time.
Dead Poets ended the night. This band took me back. They have this old school heavy metal feel to them. These guys were tight and the vocals were awesome. I don’t know where they are from, but I would have another good time if we jammed with them again.
Next gig: August 25th @ The Chance in Poughkeepsie w/ Sebastian Bach. If you need tickets, hit us up.
Until next time…
